Dr. Victor Lee Co-authored a 2018 Outstanding Research Paper

Dr. Victor Lee was a co-author on a paper named the 2018 Outstanding Research Award from from the Council of Technology and Engineering Teacher Educators (CTETE).

The article is called "Relationships Between Access to Mobile Devices, Student Self-Directed Learning, and Achievement." The research explored whether using mobile phones and submitting digital work affected student performance on a portfolio assignment. You can read more on Utah State's Digital Commons.

The paper came from a Utah State dissertation by Dr. Scott Bartholomew, now an Assistant Professor at Purdue University. Co-authors included Dr. Ed Reeve (Applied Systems and Technology Education), Dr. Raymond Veon (Caine College of the Arts), Dr. Wade Goodridge (Engineering Education), Dr. Victor Lee (Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences), and Louis Nadelson (a former School of Teacher Education and Leadership faculty member).

Speaking of the ITLS Department, Dr. Lee said, "We are great at interdisciplinary activities." Excited about the attention this research received, Dr. Lee also said, "Students who work with us in whatever capacity go on to great things."
