Dr. Lee and Dr. Walker to be honored at USU Faculty Author Reception

"Authoring a book is a significant feat of scholarship, and USU's Office of Research and Graduate Studies recognizes those who have published in the past year," says RGS announcement. 


ITLS department will be represented by two faculty members who published their books this past year. Congratulations to Dr. Victor Lee, who published Learning Technologies and the Body: Integration and Implementation in Formal and Informal Learning Environments, and Dr. Andy Walker, who published Essential Readings in Problem-Based Learning: Exploring and Extending the Legacy of Howard S. Barrows in collaboration with ITLS alumna, Dr. Heather Leary, Dr. Hmelo-Silver and Dr. Ertmer.  

Both ITLS faculty will be honored during The Faculty Author Reception at the USU Merrill-Cazier Library on April 7th, from 3:30 to 5pm.

Both books will also be showcased in the New Book Lounge of the library during the Research Week.

Dr. Fields' Visit to The Walker School

Dr. Fields gave a talk and led a e-textile workshop at The Walker School in Marietta, Georgia this past February. 

After talking to several high school classes, a middle school assembly, and a group of 100 upper elementary students, she also held two Saturday workshops for people aged 9-60.
