Announcement of 4-year fellowship in Learning Analytics: USU

Utah State University's Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences (ITLS) department is pleased to announce the availability of a prestigious four-year doctoral fellowship for a new doctoral student in the area of "Learning Analytics," also known as "Educational Data Mining."

The fellowship provides full tuition and a stipend for four years.  The fellow will work with three faculty members in the ITLS department, each of whom have been applying this methodology in different contexts: using “big data” to understand STEM learning (Taylor Martin), STEM teaching (Mimi Recker) and informal, online STEM environments (Deborah Fields).

The fellowship is available for one student beginning doctoral studies in August 2013. See here for more information: http://itls.usu.edu/htm/doctoral-fellowship/
Interested students should contact any of the faculty members listed above as soon as possible . Please include a resume and a paragraph describing your research background, interests, and how it aligns with this fellowship.

ITLS International Night

ITLS Faculty, students and friends had a great time with a lot of good food, fun games and cultural facts at our annual International Night. This year the activity was hosted by Dr. Anne Diekema and Dr. Yanghee Kim, professors from our department.
